Local Officers in Cassiobury Park - Saturday 4th October 10am to 2pm |
||
Dear Resident, Officers from Watford Neighbourhood Policing Team will be in Cassiobury Park this Saturday 4th October from 10am until 2pm. Officers will be patrolling around the park and we’ll have a stall set up as well, so please take the opportunity to come and say hello and let us know about any concerns you may have. Other organisations are expecting to join us on the day so you may have the chance to see something unusual taking place. This event is part of the focus on knife crime prevention in Hertfordshire during the month of October, during which Hertfordshire Constabulary is hosting the Knife Angel statue and running various events around the County. Please see Knife Angel | Hertfordshire Constabulary for more information. While knife crime remains low in Hertfordshire in comparison to other parts of the country, we are committed to doing everything we can to tackle serious violence by working closely with our partner agencies and other organisations to ensure our county is safe and feels safe. During October any knives in your possession that you do not want or should not have, can be surrendered at Watford Police Station, George Street WD18 0BX. Items can be surrendered anonymously and without fear of prosecution during the amnesty in the knife bins provided, including recently banned zombie knives, machetes and ninja swords. No weapons surrendered during amnesty will be examined and will be destroyed shortly after they are handed in. We’d like to know how you feel about knife crime and safety in your local area – please take a couple of minutes to complete this short survey
